Our brand new TBT BW250s Deep Hole Drilling Machine has arrived and is now fully commissioned and up and running...

This new machine is the latest version of the very successful BW range of table type gun drilling machines and incorporates amongst other innovations, a swiveling axis about the vertical plane on the drilling unit driven by two independent ball screws! This gives us an angular drilling possibility of ±25º together with a full 360º horizontal rotation on the CNC Workpiece table. The machine can gun drill from 3mm - 40mm Ø upto 1500mm deep. It is also capable of all conventional CNC milling operations. It has a: Y-Axis movement of 15000mm; X-Axis movement of 15000mm; W-Axis movement of 15000mm; Z-Azis movement of 15000mm; Workpiece table of 1600mm x 1200mm; Maximum component weight of 15t. Process Monitoring includes: Spindle power/torque; Coolant pressure; Coolant temperature; This is the latest addition to our already comprehensive range of deep hole drilling machines housed at our sub contract facility here in Coleshill and has been specifically purchased with the oil industry related components in mind. This new machine will enable us to react more quickly and reduce turnaround times! Due to its enhanced CNC controlled features such as being able to gun drill compound angle holes. It is also a very capable horizontal machining centre which means in many cases we will be able to offer our customers a one stop, single set up machining possibility that was previously unavailable in the UK sub contract deep hole drilling sector.
